Community Empowerment

OM Creative had the opportunity to document the impactful work of The Foundation for Green Community (FGC), a Tanzanian NGO dedicated to addressing environmental and public health issues. In their Mto Wa Mbu Cleaning initiative, FGC tackled severe waste pollution along a critical route to Serengeti National Park. Through community clean-ups, educational outreach, and awareness campaigns, FGC aims to create a sustainable waste management system while fostering a culture of environmental responsibility. We captured their efforts to involve the local community in understanding the importance of a cleaner environment for a healthier future.

One of the highlights was documenting FGC’s tree-planting initiative, where motorbike taxi drivers planted saplings bought from a local Maasai school nursery, offering both environmental benefits and empowering the community with sustainable practices.
